They fit as expected and are waterproof, but still have a strong plastic smell and turn red. We use them as street shoes so they stay on the back porch so I don't think they should continue to smell of plastic.

For the price they are good. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on boots that would grow fast. After a few months of jumping through puddles, climbing through the mud and running around, they proved excellent. I definitely don't regret buying the cheaper option as it's durable and waterproof enough for our purposes.

Fit a little big but wearable and I love that it leaves room for growth hopefully next spring and summer! I would say order the size your child normally wears and expect them to be a little big but not terrible if that makes sense. This is a pretty solid pair of wellies and they hold their shape well despite having been worn a lot this month. I give them five big puddle squirts. (Or stars if you like)

Bought these boots for my grandson who loves jumping in puddles. He is currently wearing a size 7 toddler, I ordered a size 8. He's about 1" tall and I knew from other comments they would be big so I also ordered a size bigger than him. He loved her, dressed her and let her out through the puddles.
