The docking system worked great. I wish there was a manual just because I had a case under my laptop and had to take it off because the docking system needed to be fully connected and then I noticed that the blue light shows it's on. Everything else worked great! TO UPDATE. I didn't understand in the product description that the USB hub doesn't fit on the bottom of the laptop bag, but after looking it is mentioned. My product still works and works great!

UPDATE: I can't even use this thing to power/charge my 16" MacBook Pro. I'm assuming it won't support the 96W power requirement for a large laptop. I got it to "dock" my MacBook Air, but it can't be used for that. Only one of the two USB-C ports can be used for power or Thunderbolt, so I can't connect the power cord and the display at the same time, making it unusable. If you only have one HDMI monitor it will likely work if you don't have any other Thunderbolt devices.

This is a great hub and works as advertised. The hub has a Thunderbolt 3 port, an HDMI port, a USB-C port and 2 USB-A ports, as well as a micro and a regular SD card reader. I use the Thunderbolt, HDMI, and USB C and A ports on a daily basis and the speeds are excellent. The build quality of the hub is also excellent. I bought this Revain USB-C hub for my MacBook Air. When I first received it I was afraid it wouldn't work. My USB stick was not recognized. After taking out and reinserting the flash drive and hub several times, the hub and laptop eventually recognized each other. There were no problems with the memory card recognition. My computer usually has a couple of USB and HDMI ports so this product was my main concern as it might break during use. After using it for a few days I don't have that kind of anxiety anymore. Worked great for the first few months (3-4), now it doesn't recognize my camera or drops the camera after a few minutes. First I have to say that I was skeptical when I bought it, but it was worth it. Everything I wanted to do with it works great.
