Great shoes. The heat for our winters is below 0 ND. The outsole looks well made, as does the waterproofing, although it hasn't been tested yet. The bungee cord is unnecessarily long but I just pulled it through the ties and it's ok. My daughter wears size 11 boots and shoes. Her foot was 6 3/4 inches. I bought these boots for my almost 2.5 year old daughter and 6 year old son because I knew there would be a lot of snow on our way. Both love their colors! I like that they keep my feet warm and dry. I wasn't a fan of the bungee at first, it seemed like I couldn't tighten it to keep the snow from getting into the boots. But after a few uses, the upper becomes more flexible, making it easier to tighten the bungee. I really think the velcro on the strap is not enough to tighten the boots but…

My Opinion: The outside size is very deceptive compared to the foot. Should have 3/4" padding/insulation on all sides, increasing overall size. Compared to the Carters boots, they are a few notches up for actual winter use. They appear to be well made for winter use, snow and Profile are deep enough to avoid snow crusting Sides are high which keeps most of the snow with the suit on top Sides are flexible and not rigid so any twisting/slipping that occurs in winter hits the ankle directly.
