24 AWG electrical wire

This is 24 AWG wire. It is grey. Nothing more to say? It untangles fairly easily so I had to drill a hole in the spool to secure the wire between uses (hence 4 stars instead of 5). A notch in the plastic, like on spools of thread, would be a good way to fix this.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

HARD 2 FIND THE WIRE! Electrical

This particular wire is not easy to come by. I've been playing around with vintage receivers and the wire in many of them was twisted tin. If you're using your regular round-the-house copper patch cord through and through, "Things smoke and get hot." I also needed the little sensor that this provides. Overall a great product, especially for those specific projects or purposes.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Not Sure

24 AWG Patch Cord

This is a small reel of 25 feet of #24 AWG stranded patch cord. Rated insulation voltage 300V. The amperage rating of the #24 AWG wire used in the chassis is 3.5A, so keep these values in mind when deciding which wire to use for your project. Pros: Convenient and inexpensive reel for small projects. good quality. A 25ft upgrade can be used - it's not that big a roll - a 50ft roll would be better.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Disappearable
