Great little NUC, good for towers

Great for video conferencing. No lag, great video streaming/processing. Even when using backgrounds. Small enough to hang behind the TV

I'm writing this review of my new NUC just 24 hours after ordering.

My NUC was delivered today, just 24 hours after ordering: a small box (approx. This box is full of function descriptions, technical information and "INTEL NUC" everywhere, no doubt it's the original. Putting the NUC in the middle of my cluttered desk (two laptops/three monitors/one docking station) was a breeze, took less than five minutes to plug in the NUC, turn it on and get to work. The first 20-30 minutes is the W10 dedicated completing the setup. It detected my wireless network and…

The perfect portable machine!

I bought two of these for my hobby. Basically, I needed 2 computers capable of streaming video from multiple capture cards to Discord, and I needed to quickly and easily disassemble the whole thing for transport. I originally tried the Raspberry Pi 4, but the quality just wasn't to my liking. I got one of these and was very impressed with how strong it is considering the size! I also had a brief interaction with the support team which was very smooth and easy. Both machines now fit comfortably…

These guys are fine and the NUC is great until you need backup.

These guys delivered quickly and the service was ok. I won't snub them, but I should warn people about Intel's warranty support. We have about 20 of these with our customers and have had a few minor hiccups. Multiple fan and jumper errors. If the PC is critical to you, Intel will honor your warranty but will not send parts for repair. You'll have to lose your computer for a week or pay for an advance replacement. I'm not happy with the few failures I've had. I mostly use HP and out of hundreds…

Powerful little machine

Great machine for the home office. Takes up almost no space. I can open dozens of apps to work with no issues. The fan remains very quiet, but can get loud when gaming. Can handle 4K videos well, but games need to be set to low settings to play. Expect 20 to 30 fps on medium settings. Low settings average 50 to 60. Wireless and Bluetooth work very well. The only complaint is that the power adapter is as big as the computer itself, but I'm not sure there's anything that can be done about that.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it

Great buy, good quality

Came for RTX 2060 discrete graphics card. This set of machines is really worth it! The RTX2060 card alone can set you back over $1,000. csgo, warzone, pubg, dota2 and gta5 run smoothly and the host temperature and running sound are well controlled. I also checked De*ll and Apple*le before purchasing, but ultimately settled on this Intel Phantom Canyon Mini computer. compare all. Has the maximum configuration for the same price. Excellent value for money. The computer is solidly built and…

RUNS ROON ROCKS A CHARM - IT ROCKS

I bought the 16GB version of the NUC even though Run said I only need 8; If I ever want to switch to Windows, I'll leave my options open for the future. In any case, it was installed with an updated bios and Windows 10 Pro, which I licensed, so all I had to do was install ROCK and the FFMPEG file, a codec file missing from the Rock bundle. While this sounds complicated, it's a lot easier than you think. The file for AMD works fine if you can't find Intel. Apart from the main unit, this is the…
