Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Powerhouse Performance: NUC11PHKi7CAA1 Computer with I7 1165G7 2.8-4.7GHz, GDDR6, and Win OS by Jim Cronin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm writing this review of my new NUC just 24 hours after ordering.

My NUC was delivered today, just 24 hours after ordering: a small box (approx. This box is full of function descriptions, technical information and "INTEL NUC" everywhere, no doubt it's the original. Putting the NUC in the middle of my cluttered desk (two laptops/three monitors/one docking station) was a breeze, took less than five minutes to plug in the NUC, turn it on and get to work. The first 20-30 minutes is the W10 dedicated completing the setup. It detected my wireless network and connected to it in a second. You may have to restart it a few times afterward to get pending updates, but overall it's a hassle-free process that took no longer than Should take 60 minutes. The fire test in my case was running Cossacks 3 (2016) which is hard to play on my laptop. As ic h installed it on GOG's NUC, I found that my calculations were justified based on the CPU and GPU PassMark results. Playing games on the NUC seems to be many times faster than on the Swift 3. However, that wasn't the main reason I chose this mini PC. I've been fascinated by them for the past few years until finally deciding to buy this one to celebrate the birth of my third grandchild who was born today, thousands of miles away, at almost the same time the NUC was mine arrived home. : less than an hour difference. How about? PS 03/30/2021: I ran a PassMark performance test on this PC. This is the summary of the results: Total 3133 43% - CPU 8235 47% - 3D Graphics 1798 27% - 2D Graphics 403 39% - Memory 2260 38% - Hard Disk 15614 74%. The % numbers are percentiles: the proportion of computers already tested in the PassMark database (+1MM) that are underperforming in this case. Not bad for a little guy worth $500.
