Fun and Easy Paint by Numbers Kit: DIY Pink Tulips Painting for Beginner Adults (16x20inch) Review

I'm very excited about it. I had to iron it when it arrived and was able to iron out most of the creases. The color is a bit dry. I'm hoping to get it working with a very wet brush. The brushes are cheap but I expected that and I have mine.

Good quality kit, color printing is clear and seems easy enough. I'd rather have this on a chalkboard rather than drawing and then just popping it into a ready made 16x20 inch frame for instant satisfaction. Instead I had to take the canvas to Michaels for processing and wait another 2 weeks. The color palette is exactly what I was hoping for - now it's up to me!

The color rendering of the sample image did not match the colors in the paint cans. The beautiful purple and pink shown in the pattern have been given matte orange and brown tones. The background turned out to be a light yellow tint instead of the gray-green shown in the image. I was very disappointed it turned out so ugly. waste of money and time. In an attempt to save the painting, I mixed my own paints using the paint pots provided and made my own interpretation. Something not for beginners.

This will look nice when finished BUT it came folded in half and then in half again causing deep creases horizontally and vertically. I don't know how to get the creases out yet, so the painting is being put on hold until I go to the art shop for advice. The canvas should be rolled up and shipped in a tube, not folded flat and shipped in an envelope.

The pandemic has created time for activities and projects that our daily lives do not allow. I haven't choked on oil in decades. This beautiful tulip canvas was great for my poor eyes, it had large areas of color and a minimal number of small areas of color. I think it's still a good picture, I expected and preferred it to be more pink and lighter. The final image looks more like a dark taupe with brown undertones. I bought it as a remedy for stress during a pandemic. I'm happy with my purchase but wouldn't want to spend much more than 15€ for it. The colors were generally in good condition, although one color must have run out at some point as the pot was almost empty. I'll figure out how to deal with this if it turns out to be a problem.
