I didn't like these shoes as the leather seems to be of inferior quality. I don't know if it was just a bad batch of leather or if the tanning was done poorly. In any case, the skin looks thin, cracked and discolored when I first put it on (just tried it on). These shoes look great and are a joy to walk in. I bought them twice as I wore the first pair and wore them almost every day. My only complaint (I would really give them 4.5 stars) is that they seem to have a long break in period. The skin just takes longer than I expected to really get the great feeling you're hoping for.

The shoes in the picture look better than the shoes I received. In fact, the shoe is a very consistent matte brown color and the stitching is the same color. These aren't pretty shoes. Also, they don't match the other Nunn Bush shoes I have in the same size. With this pair I got a black pair which fits much better and is more comfortable, this pair seems to be a size or two bigger. I wonder if I have fake shoes.

I don't usually write reviews like this but this shoe, although it fits me, is one of the least comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
