I'm a fan. Fan

Bought to replace an old failed motor for my laundry fan. A complete replacement of the fan would be costly and would require a redesign of the ceiling area. This motor appears to be an exact match, is easy to install and runs like a champ. A little noisy but not louder than the old one. He does what he has to

Inexpensive repair, perfect fit

Perfect fit and quiet operation. Installation Recommendations: DO NOT attempt to remove the metal clip on the fan shroud. Support the fan and use a fist and light taps of a hammer to knock the motor shaft out of the fan hub (it will come out easily). Mount the fan on the new motor, support the motor and use the bushing that is slightly larger than the ring to turn on the fan. Make sure the rubber bumpers are properly aligned during assembly.

the new one works perfectly. Apparently there were some production changes.

Old engine stuck after 15 years, newer works perfectly. This is expected to happen over the years. I'm not sure if the design changes were intended to reduce cost or improve reliability (or both?). I guess I'll find out when it finally breaks down. My only real complaint is the price. It's a lot of money for a small engine swap, but if it lasts another 15 years, it's worth it.
