🔊 High-Performance NVX V-Series 5 1/4 inch 2-Way Component Car Speaker System with Silk Dome Tweeters Review

Blown tweeter after 5 months of use. I bought a 2-door Accord 05, ran it for 4 months, then sold the car. I put 06 4dr in my chord and the tweeter started scratching the next day. Stood on a shelf for months without moving until a few days ago. Used on JVC head unit and Alpine head unit, none ever exceeded 2/3 volume on 1st December 2020.

When I bought the mid-range NVX line of products I wasn't expecting Morel, Audison or Focal quality. However, I was expecting speaker grilles. They are mounted in skirting boards. And now I have to go back and filter out all the junk to find something that looks good and still protects my speakers.

To be honest the woofers could have sounded better. I know they could. They are 5 1/2 the size of the Polk Audio t-15 bookshelf speakers and are some of the best speakers I have ever heard. BUT! That doesn't mean they're bad. Along with the tweeters, my rear speakers (also NVX 5 1/2) and subwoofer (you guessed it, NVX VCW102) are also one of the best systems I've heard.

I design and sell car audio and have owned a home AV for 25 years now so I have decent hearing. I installed them in my Nissan HD2500 work van with doorpost tweeters from Pioneer's new head unit. Fantastic quality for this price range. Clear and not sharp high frequencies, but only AFTER adjusting the equalizer. The midbass is really nice and not cloudy. They'll probably work fine with a quality amp, but for my needs, they're amazing. I will add an amplifier and a subwoofer for low frequencies.

WOW! Just wow! I switched from Kenwood 6.5 amd coaxial speakers WOW! The difference in sound is amazing. Quality and clarity are excellent. These speakers are much larger than many other 6.5-inch speakers, so some modifications may need to be made. If necessary, they are worth it. One star off for the foam. It is generally poorly bonded to the outer rings. I had to use some super glue wherever I used the mounting screw to keep the foam from lifting and curling up.

Well built and appears to be quality materials. I installed them on my Harley 07 electric glider and they fit perfectly. The tweets fit neatly into two unused calibration holes as you can see in the picture. The crossovers were located directly above the stereo HU. Didn't think to take a picture before installing the fairing. Two problems, firstly there are no speaker wires for the mids, secondly the crossovers are screw terminals, the tweeter wires have spades on the ends so the terminals had…
