I have a BIG head with lots of hair and I bought this because a lot of people said it was too big and fit their big heads. I immediately opened it up, put it on and I LOVE IT! fits EXCELLENT! and I LOVE the color (denim) it's sky blue and it suits my eyes. This is a great hat, warm and stretchy but not messy. So I ordered four of these hats in different colours. I have maroon and gold and they both match perfectly. The black one I got is tighter/smaller. This Christmas mix I received is way too big. I hate that you can't choose the size. So at the moment I don't have a maroon, but here are some photos, as you can see, the black is smaller than the Christmas mix, very small and tight. Golden - medium ideal size. Black is also smaller than gold

To be honest I have a bowler hat head. It's hereditary. It fits my bowler hat and still looks the same as the picture. The funny thing is that my skinny friend with a petite head tried it on and it fit her perfectly too. Stop laughing. We gourds are sensitive to head size. This is the secret of the travel hat! This is a beautiful hat. I actually bought my first one from the store but they didn't have other colors so I came to Revain. I recently got a braided hairstyle that doesn't match any of my other cold weather hats. I did a local search and found this hat. It was soft and above all very elastic and roomy. This isn't the first time I've ordered one of these hats. This is actually my fourth time because I love all the variety of colors! I even bought others as Christmas gifts for my sisters. It's amazing how warm these hats really are and how soft they are. I find my head is bigger and they all fit on everyone so well.
