Why did they stop making them?

I love these gold iridium polarized lenses. They are perfect for driving and everyday use. Bronze is very similar, but I prefer the reflective mirror that gold gives.

Pros
  • perfect interchangeable lenses.
Cons
  • The effect of lens polarization may not be very noticeable under certain lighting conditions.

One side didn't fit properly

We have used these interchangeable lenses in the past and everything has been perfect. On the one hand they connected perfectly, but on the other hand they didn't. We had to superglue it to make it work, which means we can no longer replace the lenses on these frames.

Pros
  • Interchangeable Flak Jacket polarized lenses. OEM replacement. Law
Cons
  • Some people may experience color distortion when using polarized lenses.

It looks like a combination of blue and purple.

This is not a Red Iridium lens. It's more blue with a slight red tinge. It looks like a blue/purple combination with a very slight red cast. In any case, you have to keep it, because you need a spare lens.

Pros
  • Replaced my scratched lenses with these. They were easy to put on and I still wear them when I leave the house.
Cons
  • Some people may not like the look of polarized lenses.

A bit disappointed :(

This item should be new. I have ordered this product before and have been very satisfied, normally a 5 star product. However, this time it arrived with a clearly broken seal and the lenses were not wrapped in plastic. I doubt if these are real Oakleys or fakes but I can't tell as the original box and seals have been tampered with. Based on this experience, I would probably buy from another seller next time.

Pros
  • Genuine Oakley lenses. Goes perfectly with my bulletproof vests
Cons
  • Some people may not like the tint of the Fire Iridium lens.

Not the same as advertised

I order the standard size VR28 Polarized as listed on the web and shown in the picture. As another 1 star customer. I received size XLJ VR28 without polarized lenses. The word "Polarized" is engraved on the left Oakley Polarized lens. The box with the lens is suspicious. Another sticker was placed over the original Oakley with a description and barcode. Since I'm not the only one, I suspect something is wrong. The difference between polarized and non-polarized is $30 (see attached picture). The

Pros
  • Factory product by Oakley.
Cons
  • Wrong order sent back

So far, so good. I had sunglasses like the Oakley Flakjacket.

So far, so good. I've had Oakley Flakjacket sunglasses for a few years now and my old lenses are starting to fall apart. I think they're universal, so no matter what lens you pull out, it should go in either left or right. While I could be wrong and crossing my fingers, I accidentally got them right. LAUGH OUT LOUD. But so far so good. Removing the lenses and putting them back was a bit fiddly. Sometimes you will feel like breaking your investment. The 1-2-3 step map they give you doesn't help…

Pros
  • My sunglasses are like new
Cons
  • Replacement lenses may differ slightly in shape or size from the original lenses, which may result in an improper fit.

I'm very satisfied.

They fit well, but inserting the left lens was a challenge. Comparing to the old lens, I noticed a slightly different cut on one of the edges, making it narrower. However, I am quite satisfied.

Pros
  • Oakley, that's great!
Cons
  • Iridium Polarized Fire Lenses may not display colors as vividly as other lens types.

Perfect fit and great price.

I wanted to replace the lower profile Flak Jacket XLJ lenses. I looked at the brand, not Oakley, but went with the real deal. The exchange was easy, the lenses fit perfectly and look great.

Pros
  • Great for extending the life of my Oakley sunglasses. Thanks!
Cons
  • It is genuine and fits perfectly, however, within 2 months of use, very small bubbles appeared in the lenses.

Didn't do it for me

The fit of the Oakly Flak Jackets was too loose and the hue was a little lighter than I would have liked. I lost a lens in the long run and it was too badly scratched to continue using it.

Pros
  • great lenses
Cons
  • When changing lenses, the frame may also need to be adjusted, which incurs additional costs.

Very good! my pros and cons

The bride loves loves her body armor. The lenses that were in the original glasses I bought were about four years old and needed to be replaced. Got them as a gift for him and they match the description. Very good!

Pros
  • Good product!
Cons
  • The 63mm size may not fit all face types, causing some discomfort or slipping.

It is not easy! However, they fit after pasting

Me and 4 other people tried to put in new lenses. Have watched the video. Neither of us could make it, so I took it to Oakley's and did it. It is not easy! However, they fit after pasting

Pros
  • Great product, matched my glasses perfectly and was a lot cheaper than buying another pair of sunglasses.
Cons
  • Iridium polarized Fire lenses may be too dark to provide adequate visibility in low light conditions.

Are those red or blue lenses?

Are those red or blue lenses? On arrival I noticed a box of lenses and the number 16-582 listed as positive iridium red. But when unfolded, the box looks more like a blue lens with a slightly red reflex. I don't know if it's the wrong lens, but it wasn't what I expected.

Pros
  • quality lens! Easy installation! Fast service as advertised! Would buy again
Cons
  • The polarized coating can wear away over time, rendering the lens unpolarized.

Decent interchangeable lenses, the shape is slightly different.

Decent interchangeable lenses, the shape of the bottom of the lenses is slightly different from my originals but they fit the frame perfectly. The only issue that is my fault is that I misread and thought I was getting polarized lenses.

Pros
  • Ideal replacement
Cons
  • The size did not match the frame.

Fits easily on my frame

Fits easily in my frame, I originally had regular dark lenses and opted for a pair of polarized ones. They are very sharp but I feel like I've had better optics in other lenses.

Pros
  • The product was great... perfect for what I needed, very satisfied.
Cons
  • Fire Iridium polarized lenses may not provide adequate protection for certain outdoor activities.

Ideal replacement for body armor

Lenses as described fit perfectly and love the polarization here in South Florida. Buy genuine, don't use cheap fakes, they will scratch and you will replace them within a few weeks, believe me I did. TWICE!

Pros
  • Great fit. They seem to have a little more reflection than the old ones, but that may be because they're new.
Cons
  • The polarized coating may interfere with some vision therapies.

Lenses are perfect for golf

The lenses aren't too dark to make reading on green difficult, but dark enough to avoid glare. Bought to replace the original G30 lenses which gave me a headache after just a few holes.

Pros
  • These are not the ones in the picture, they are lower but still pretty cute.
Cons
  • Replacement lenses may not last as long as original lenses.
