Not long. good for filter

I bought this filter in addition to the canister filter I use under my tank. I've had it for at least six months and it no longer works. I have always taken great care in cleaning and changing the water in my tank and have used quite a few of their filters. I just didn't like the design and function of this filter. Not the best option in my opinion.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Reliability

Do not take thermal version.

heater comes with temperature switch removed. Now I don't know how to get the desired temperature. It also lacks a bioplug so I can't even run it without heating. If I turn on the heater at 70, the water rises to about 90. The filter itself seems fine. Don't buy a thermos, just get the basic version if like me you really need an inlet filter because I don't have room for more. Seems ok if you get the non-heated version.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • crumpled packaging

Good quality filter

Although rated for 30 gallons I use this filter on a 33 gallon tank and it seems to be holding up well. The materials and build quality appear to be top-notch. I like the magnetic release of the filter media box, it's very easy to maintain and clean. The only downside: My fish constantly get stuck between the filter and the glass through a small gap with suction cups. I wish this filter had lip hooks instead of suction cups. I ended up just using 2 suction cups on one side and moving one sideโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • No instructions

High quality heater/filter for 10-20 gallon aquarium

This product is a great one stop shop for your aquarium needs. I keep bettas and shrimp and was looking for a way to clean the tank. Although the block itself is BIG, it's nice to have it in a corner and close to the walls. There is no way fish/shrimp will get stuck behind it and as shown in the picture they will sit under whatever cover you put on your aquarium. The only downsides are the size and the fact that this thing is STRONG. You can adjust the flow to create small streams along theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • Frequency
