A good thing. Hardens quickly.

I had a silver dollar sized piece of Xenia that just wouldn't stay in place no matter how much superglue I used. I poured this epoxy onto the sides of the splinter, laid a large chunk on the bottom and pressed it into the living stone with my fingers. It hardens quickly under water, so work has to be done quickly. However, it will not stick to the flat parts of your stone. He definitely needs gaps to dive into and hold on to.

THE SPATULA YOU SHOULD HAVE!

This putty is my favorite tool for gluing stones in a reef aquarium. I've been using this brand for several years now and it works every time. However, there are two things to keep in mind (1) ensure adequate ventilation when applying due to very strong odors and (2) once you've "kneaded" the two formulations together you literally have 2 or 3 minutes to mix them applied before it becomes rock hard and unusable. If you need epoxy for water application go for this one, I highly recommend it

  • An absolute legend

Works well with fish and aquatic animals

UPDATE: This is the best putty I have ever used. While I've had success with a few tubes of other putties, this one hits out of the park every time. However, I wish they would make a larger tube. I don't have much experience with these kittens as it's only the second brand I've used but it's far superior to the ones I've used before. It still needs a little more kneading than originally expected, but it sticks better. The only thing that confuses me is that I want them to make a big tube out of

The smelly staining puddle seems to be working great.

This material is fragrance central. expected. This is a two part thumb pudding. It has a coral red color when you mix it together. It was 90 degrees outside when I used it and it built up pretty quickly. I wasn't expecting to use as much flour as needed when I originally ordered and should have gone for a larger tube. I connected three separate stones, each weighing about 2.5 pounds. It might not be long, but I'll see what happens. I pushed as much material as I could into the available holes…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Good product in a pinch

This product was recommended on BRStv on YouTube. Sometime it is also known as Bulk Reef Supply and I gave it a try. I thought it was great and I love the color but I've noticed that after a few weeks in the water if you touch it or brush it with a toothbrush it will form a kind of cloudy flakes and dust if disturbed. On the other hand, it's easy to scrape off when you need to remove it. The worst thing about it is the smell, when you take it out of the box it's pungent but you don't feel it in

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Low repairability

Sticks to fingers, not like rocks

First of all, this material sticks to fingers AMAZING! Wait . Want it to stick to the rock? Oh no. I've used clay epoxy before and I know what I'm getting into, but I've never had this kind of stickiness on my fingers. The worst thing is you try to stick it to the stone and it won't stick to the stone because it's still sticking to your fingers. But wait, there's more! This material will not stick to the rock era. I was about halfway through my design when the stone didn't fit so I removed it…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
