Looks amazing

Looks very nice in the sense that it's hard to convey with the stock images they use to promote and sell this product. It is a bamboo with a characteristic hardwood appearance. It looks great and it also looks like you pay a lot more. I would also say it looks smaller in the photos than it really is so check the measurements. Like I said, it doesn't look cheap or silly, it looks like good furniture, if that's the right word.

Works very well after I glued it.

reviews said parts were loose and wobbly. I kept that in mind, but I had a solution when I bought it. I sanded the joints and glued them together with good quality wood glue. I use Tybond. Elmer's wood glue is fine. I use a nail gun to hold the pieces in place while the glue dries. This allowed me to immediately stock up on bottles of wine. I think you could attach it with a rubber band/bungee or clamp it down for 24 hours and it would work. The device fits perfectly under our cutting block on…

Easy to assemble and easy to extend

I had a place where it fit perfectly so plus one. It was assembled in literally minutes by fitting the parts into intricately designed slots. It's totally stable when full and if I want to add more capacity I can just order another one and put it on top of the one I already have. I assume stability and safety are maximized on two posts, but you can go higher on hard, level ground. I have wine racks that can hold almost 600 bottles and this is the easiest I have to build.

Great item for wine racks and cabinets

Perfect for our fridge. Well made and very durable. Not cheap and flimsy. There are no downsides other than Revain's incredibly poor packaging. The manufacturer's box was well padded and each piece individually wrapped in foam. The Revain box was 50% larger and the box containing the product was turned over during shipping. This resulted in a small chipped corner and a few small dents in the wood. Sad but hardly noticeable so we kept the item and hid the damage on the back. Good product. Will…

Well built, sturdy wine rack

These racks exceeded my expectations. They are very strong (ie heavy), well made, attractive and very easy to assemble. The cost of storing a bottle is worth it, although it's about twice the price ($2 per bottle) of lighter pine racks ($1 per bottle). extra money (IMHO). They fit well and are very strong. I only went up 2 units (four rows of wine) but I could see where you could go up to 4 or 5 with no problem when placed on a flat, hard, level surface. There were no problems installing…

More wine (racks) please!

I received the wine cabinet last night and installed it straight away. It is made up of solid bamboo components connected by cutouts in each of them. When all 6 parts interlock, the entire frame feels very stable. It is also pretty! I will definitely add more layers as space/need allows. One reviewer mentioned that the bottle clearance is too much - I placed the bottles so the curve of the neck rested against the front bar for stability. This means that the bottles are tilted slightly down…

Great shelf, easy to work and paint

I had to cut it to fit my closet. I use a cut-off saw, the cuts are very clean. Primed and painted white, only lightly sanded. The paint is holding up great. It's well made and I bet you can put quite a bit on the floor and it will still be sturdy. I only have 2 rows. 09/14/15 Joel, likes to post pictures. I shortened the side supports a bit. I didn't use the bottom set, I think I'll turn them into bookends as they look really nice with the wood/bamboo layer. I didn't need the extra height and…

Pros

Cons
  • Neutral

I like the modular design and look of this shelf but it doesn't exactly match. At least that's what it seems from the package I received (which doesn't seem to be the case with some others who have reported needing a hammer to secure the joints. I wish that was my problem). Skill is minimal. I ordered 3 of these sets based on the great reviews and of all the items delivered only one of the spacer rails (out of 12 I received) actually fits the wine rack rails with just enough friction to keep…
