Good tool. Make sure it is well tightened to the power drill you are using or it will slip. The drill needs to be heavy or you will likely ruin the drill due to the high torque required to turn the oil pump.

This tool arrived with some kind of metal in it. I had to use it to pre-lube my Ford 302 engine and move my project forward, so didn't have time to return it. I ended up using a small drill to remove the metal. It looked like someone put a steel nut in the hex cavity. My guess is that someone returned it and didn't see the metal stuck inside the tool. In the end it worked well and only took me 5 minutes with a drill press.

This primer will not fit the most common Ford oil pump piston rod size which is 1/4" although the description clearly states that it does 1/4". What they don't mention is the size of the shank end that goes into the drill bit, which is the least important feature of this type of tool. I'd like to return it before this option expires, but I have it before it expires no longer needed with the return option.Now I'm stuck with a tool I don't need.
