Accurate weight readings for gemstones

The Ohaus YJ103 Carat Jewelry Balance is an amazing addition to our Science Education lab .It is perfect for weighing gemstones and its accuracy is unparalleled. The balance can weigh up to 103 carats and provides precise readings to the hundred-thousandths decimal place. The COMPACT and portable design makes it easy to move around and store when not in use. However, it can be slightly pricey compared to other scales in the market, but its quality and durability make it worth the investment…

Pros
  • Accurate measurement for small items
Cons
  • Pricier than other basic scales

Accuracy at its best: A game-changer in jewelry weighing!

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice in Industrial and Scientific fields I must admit this balance is a lifesaver. The accuracy provided by the product is remarkable, and it can weigh a wide range of loads. The construction quality is also commendable; it's durable and easy to use. However, the price point might disappoint some, but it's worth it in the long run..

Pros
  • Precise and reliable measurement for jewelry and gemstones
Cons
  • Requires manual calibration and cannot be automated to save time

Don't risk your life with this (YJ) reloading scale series

Stay away from this YJ Ohaus series Chinese scale, I buy YJ103 for gold and grain measurement and have returned TWO in 6 months because they were drifting like crazy, the last one didn't even calibrate, now I'm stuck with a $100.00+ paper load. Calling Ohouse in New Jersey is useless because they told me they will not replace or repair this scale so after the one year warranty it is considered throw away junk.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
