I wasn't really expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and sharp edges. For the price this set is great.

Coordinates with other tableware. They hold up well and are easy to keep clean and sharp. I've seen more expensive carving knives that are as good as this one.

So when I entered I was expecting dull knives and they weren't disappointed. After a good sharpening you get excellent knives. I am satisfied with the purchase and the overall theme.

I was a little skeptical based on some of the reviews people left saying they were getting dull blades in their kits. . But for me everything was sharp and ready to go. I've used them very carefully, trying not to let the blades dangle, but I'll need to sharpen them here soon. I've used a turkey and brisket carving knife and a smaller one (I'm guessing it's a boning knife) many times to trim the fat from the brisket and carve the chicken. not the best, namely the rolling kit that it comes with.

I bought these knives on purpose before entering a BBQ competition. Knives were duller than sharp. Every specialty knife I've bought from other brands in the past is sharpened and ready to go. Unfortunately these dull knives didn't cut as cleanly as I wanted and caused problems because I needed the cut and gauge to be accurate - did I mention this was a competitive BBQ?
