Good little tool for sewing

I can see where it's useful when cutting out small pieces of quilt. The blade is a little thin, but that's to be expected given its size. It can only cut 2 or 3 layers of quilted cotton. This works really well with my small templates, resulting in less waste.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Available in white only

Not compatible with circle ruler.

I bought this to use with my round template cutter but the allowance is too small. The blade does not reach the fabric when the blade is open. This was the size recommended by the instructor demonstrating how to cut circles for the drunk lane pattern. Not sure if she used another brand, but that one doesn't work with my Easy Circle Cut Ruler line.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The whole time you hold this thing and cut it you're on the edge like a horror movie scene when it crashes a lot smaller than I expected and cute for some of the little touches but apparently the safety rules are out the window. One wrong step and this thing will cut your fingers to the bone because there are virtually no guarantees on your hands.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Secret

Ideal for small cuts!

This is the best little cutter for cutting my tiny brushes! I loved using it for those narrow skin incisions. The handle is a bit flimsy and probably won't be very comfortable if you hold it for very long, but I only use it for a minute or two at a time and that's fine. The small blade makes perfect small cuts. I tried making these cuts with a razor blade but the skin moved too much, was jagged and looked awful. It's such a great little tool for what I need! Bravo!

Pros
  • One-year trial period
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Frustrated with rotary cutters

I have bought several OLFA products and I am very happy with them. However, it did not meet my expectations. I've tried using it on very thin faux leather and had to go over the cut line at least 3 times. Fool, I completely destroyed the package (the only way to get the damn thing out) and I don't feel comfortable sending anything back in this condition. The handle is uncomfortable, the blade is clearly dull and therefore not worth the money, at least for me. To top it off, I bought extraโ€ฆ

Love this size and can't find it

I love Olga's knife! I actually had a Fiskar roller this size and couldn't find replacement blades in the store. So I went to Revain and saw Olfa Cutter Refills. My big boats are Olfas and I love them. So I wasn't sure if they would fit my Fiskars - blades are usually pretty versatile, but not always. So I ordered spare parts and a new Olfa cutter - I decided to give my Fiskar scooter to my friend. So it looks like the Olfa replacement bits will work with the Fiskar roller but I gave them to aโ€ฆ

New must-have item for the quilting toolbox

I ordered this extra small rotary knife because I have several quilt designs that require a smaller knife due to tight curves or small details. And Olfa is coming back! This knife works just as well as Olfa's 45mm circular knives. I really wish Olfa would do it with a more comfortable grip because it's like trying to hold on to a thin ruler. Therefore 4 stars and not 5 stars. But then again, it's not designed for cutting a ton of layers at once or making big, long cuts. He does detail work. Myโ€ฆ

A dull wobbly blade makes this a bad buy!

This is the first Olfa product that I have been disappointed with. The disk cutter in hand feels satisfying, not good. The blade doesn't feel secure; I'm used to the screw on the blades and the tiny clip doesn't seem very strong to me; The blade seemed a little wobbly. And FINALLY, this is the first time I've bought a slicer with a bad blade. Brand new out of the box, the blade would not cut through the double crease of the 100% cotton webbing. I have two other cutting knives from Olfa and love

Pros
  • Includes RB18 blade
Cons
  • Without machine gun
