Depth of field you were looking for

This lens opened my eyes to something I've been missing in my photography for all these years. The depth of field on this lens is truly remarkable and the focal length is comfortable, not too close and not too far. F1.8 also helps a lot in low light conditions. I can absolutely recommend this lens.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Low Price - High Quality

After 10 years of photography I switched to Olympus to save weight and money on professional gear. This lens, while not a "Pro" version, is a premium lens and is very sharp even at f/1.8 wide open. This is a great lens for my camera when I'm on the go and want my gear to be small. I also use it professionally without hesitation.

Perfect Fixed Lenses

As a professional Olympus user of multifocal lenses, I was hesitant to order this 50mm fixed length lens. But I needed a less flashy lens that was lightweight and took good quality photos. When I received this lens, I experimented indoors and found it exceeded my expectations. This small lens is extremely fast and allows exceptional images in low light. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

What a lens! best DSLR lens

I think this is an Olympus version of the famous Cannon 50mm. High sharpness, beautiful colors, excellent depth of field, excellent (for Micro 4/3) low light performance, dreamy and fun. I have the 17mm and 45mm and this one seems to be much more useful (although I love the other two too). If I had to choose just one of the three, it would be this one. It's relatively cheap and the plastic feels a little light, but the glass is just superb. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some flaws

Nice lens but flaws

This lens has suited me for a long time, but there is a known drawback, at least in a certain series, when focusing the lens causes an audible click during video recording. This will completely destroy any use of the camera's built-in microphone. I have an Olympus PEN El-P5 with no additional microphone input, so I have to record audio separately every time I use this lens. Good practice to always have security, but kills a lot of spontaneous writing. It was reported that Olympus acknowledged…

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The most useful lens.

This small, lightweight lens focuses quickly and silently. In years past, this type of lens was the standard lens when purchasing a 35mm lens. I bought this lens used for $250, but I've seen it for under $200 from time to time. In combination with my OMD5.2, this lens-camera combination is definitely making its way into the realm of the compact camera, which weighs a total of around 600 grams. give you the opportunity to photograph almost anything and everyone you come across. If you need…

Pros
  • Beautiful looks
