I originally bought a cheaper $30 Olympus recorder that worked great. Unfortunately, my dog thought it was delicious, so I bought another one. This model did not give me access to transfer my recordings to my computer even if I bought an adapter with a USB port. Although I was able to buy this recorder for about 25 more, it was worth it. The built in USB port, simple user interface and backlight are phenomenal. The best registrar for the price. Great device for the price.

Olympus voice recorders are very easy to use. Pretty intuitive to use. How nice! This device would be perfect, 5 stars but due to the lack of a few key features for me. (I mainly use it to record live music.) 1. Built-in speaker, playback, sound quality is disappointing. If it were bigger, like their DP-10 model, maybe that would be a way to solve it.
