After much research I bought this unit in a month or so. At first he liked it. It broke after using it 10 times. We were making juice out of spinach and suddenly we heard a crack and when we looked into the juice we found a small piece of plastic. I will not recommend this product at all as it is dangerous if the plastic breaks and you end up eating it.

I bought this to make juice from carrots and within two months the cone broke and Revane is charging $50 to replace it. Cheaply made for something so expensive. I will have to pay for the part but I will not buy Omega again. I went to the Omega website ($30 for the same cone) but they won't let you see how much shipping will cost without giving them all your info. I like how this juicer works. The snail is the same size as the 8006, but the shell is slightly larger so you can feed it larger chunks of food. I also have 8006 and have been using it for over 6 years. The NC900's juice strainer fell apart after about a week of use. The attached photo shows the juice screen from my old 8006 and from my new NC900 - parts of the NC900 are visible. I can reassemble it and it works perfectly.
