CAT FUN WITH NIP: Cats

It's a bit small for my big cats - I have a 15 lb tabby and it's too small for her. I bought her a round one that satisfies her desire to scratch. Also, be prepared to clean up the mess of shredded brown paper each day. It cannot be bypassed. This works well for kittens and small cats. I often add catnip, which they enjoy a lot.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Working speed

Thickness yes small yes

I have several cats and they all love their scratching posts. They soon destroyed her. I liked that it is a plastic base and is stronger. If you have a small cat or young kittens, that's great. This is too small for large or adult cats. he moves. If they make more, I'll buy more. I wasn't just looking at size in relation to your cat.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • some bugs

Disappointing. - Beds and furniture

The price was disappointing. This is "kitten size". The image of a big cat next to him is misleading. Please put the kitty in place to be honest. If I saw it in a store I wouldn't have bought it because of the size and price. I usually go to Walmart and for 11:00 am I get a cardboard scratching post in a separate box big enough for our three 9# cats + 13# cat. Next time Walmart

The cat scratching post is the best among cats

My cats won't touch this item. I've tried catnip, catnip spray, put it on, played with it - almost on top of it. They weren't even impressed by the little ball inside. I think it's just as good; I don't have to worry about replacing the cardboard scratching post inside. I tried giving it to my friends who have cats but they said they already knew their kittens wouldn't touch it either. It's very cheap, the plastic barely holds its shape. I would classify that as a waste of money.

Cons
  • Good but not great

Small but our cat loves it.

Great cat scratcher! Me, our 15 lb hippo, loves it, he even bangs a little toy on his bottom. We chose this plastic-backed toy because we thought it would withstand our cat's attacks better than a cardboard-backed scratching post (he's a notorious enthusiast of paper rippers and claws). So far he has held up very well. One star deducted due to size. It's surprisingly small (just over a foot long and probably 4.5 inches wide). Despite its small size, however, it is strong enough for our cat toโ€ฆ

If only people would look at the last photo.

Okay, I was wondering what all the negative comments were about and I realized that there are a lot of people who don't have a good idea of size. It's a little smaller than I expected, but that's not the product's fault. Two of my boys love the hidden toy at the base of this scratching post. The HOLES IN THE BASE are not for kittens or cats, but for getting in and running over. Also, if you don't like cardboard scraps then this isn't for you, but if you don't want to suck up cardboard scrapsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not what I expected.

The ramp model idea is good, but this cat scratching post just doesn't fit my 3 cats. They happily tear up the box next to it. The box is decent but if I had to do it again I would buy a double width and a different brand. The scraper is smaller than I expected for $14.99. What I don't like is that the plastic is SUPER COTTON and cheap. It slides too easily on cement parquet floors and is too weak to climb higher for cats to scratch. The cardboard slides out easily. If I had to do it all overโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Save Upholstery with Training

I bought this to save my upholstery when my daughter came home with her cat for Christmas. He used it occasionally, but it took a long time to pick the cat up and move it from the couch to the scratching box - he rarely chose the box as his first target. However, he used it and seemed to enjoy the replacement. I am sure that with the extra training he will use it regularly and leave the couch alone. The downside is that it's not big/long enough to stretch out when scratching, I don't know ifโ€ฆ
