📏 Omnigrid 24x36 Gridded Mat: Unleash Precision and Efficiency! Review

I just set up a workshop in the basement and put it on one of the tables. It can definitely take a beating and the mat still holds up very well. The only thing I would recommend is to keep sandpaper or something else that can sand this down as all the numbers and lines are printed. I accidentally pressed the number with a rotary tool while sanding and the number completely disappeared.

When unpacking the plastic, I noticed a very strong chemical smell. However, it goes away pretty quickly. However, when I placed it next to a regular cutting mat (also made in Taiwan), I noticed that the Omnigrid was barely 1/3 thick. I hope it can survive my other unbranded rug. I ordered because my old one was accidentally thrown away when moving house as it was packed in a box by itself and someone thought it was empty and threw it away. This rug is NOT what it used to be. It is very smooth and the fabric slides all over the body. There are no 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 inch marks anywhere except around the rim. The old one had dotted lines of different sizes in some places.
