Complete failure 1 of 4 of these

I installed 4 of these and 1 didn't work at all, it was very difficult to deal with. I won't be using them anymore, instead I bought the same ones from Grainger for twice the price, they work perfectly. If you really need reliable relays, don't buy them!

Pros
  • Industrial Electrics
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

About $5 each. Good price.

I glued it to the board. Use it to open my garage door. (Remote no longer works). The manual button still opens the door. Use this relay to bridge the wires on my manual button. Relay activation with remote setting of the wireless Christmas display. 110VAC installation. DDDT. 2 circuits, normally separate. Or activated normally. Activating the Christmas Lock closes a relay which activates the garage door motor. This has a short range when the door is closed. You have to get very close (2 feet)…

Pros
  • Electromechanical Relays
Cons
  • Requires socket

Does exactly what the relay is supposed to do.

I connected this to a Sonoff smart switch to control my gas fireplace. Works perfectly. I glued the relay to the Sonoff. Then I connected the coil to the Sonoff. I soldered them to the relay coil and sealed them with heat shrink tubing. I made some wires with connectors on them to connect the normally open contacts to the throttle solenoid wires. This itself generates electricity from the test lamp. I placed an extra deep "old" box next to the existing switch and connected 120V to the Sonoff…

Pros
  • Relay
Cons
  • There are new competitors
