Unfortunately, I immediately noticed quality problems, as there was a black coating on three pieces that could not be washed off. After endless shopping to find a flatware set to complement my 20 year old Oneida I settled on this simple pattern. I have to admit that all the negative reviews worry me; However, I took a leap of faith because I wanted an 8 service at a reasonable price. I bought 3 of these kits and received them less than 2 weeks ago. Used them for the first time yesterday. I have washed them in the dishwasher along with many other things. The forks and spoons were relatively easy to find, but "ok". Knives are a different story. Almost every one of the 21 knives I've used has significant rust on the handle - after one wash!
