Good tent for the price.

I went camping with this pup for 3D 2N. The internal mesh 1.5 was sufficient for both of us. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. I actually made a hole on it, it was firewood pierced through and I realized the fabric is quite thin but not the lightest. I am very happy with this product and if you have experience setting up a tent like this I would recommend trying it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • So far so good

in tents and shelters, the door sucks

The door is too short and small, you have to climb over the hot stove to open or close the zipper, the zipper must be to the left of the hole To to avoid the oven, the bend of the zipper is zippered when you don't use two hands. The inner mesh liner should open fully on both sides to access the entire space on the tipi floor without crawling over a hot stove. Happy with the Iron Wall, especially with the adjustable peg loops. I spent two nights in a tent and stayed warm and dry.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Favorite tent of all time

Love this tent. At first I was concerned about the thin material. After 2-3 weekends of use in the high, dry terrain of the Rocky Mountains, it has really proven itself. Not a single hole needs to be patched. I have used the inner liner each time but left the mesh door and outer door open for my pup to walk around. Plenty of room for cold weather gear and a stove, even with a dog (healer blue for size). Extremely light on the back, a bit oversized, but a good storage bag can minimize that. The…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

No thanks - outdoor recreation

Difficult rolling. Requires many adjustments. Rain cover when you're not in it. Otherwise, condensation during a rain shower is almost as dangerous as without it. In Colorado. Summer. At 10,500 feet. The chimney opening points to the rear. The damper is attached the wrong way, and the line pulling that section away from the stove isn't reliable at all. In fact, ALL slings are flimsy cords with tiny pesky tent anchoring loops that make it difficult to adjust the tent and install/remove the pegs.

Pros
  • Convenience
Cons
  • Nothing

Good tent but overpriced and needs new pegs

Good tent overall. Works well in the rain, lightweight but definitely overpriced. There are other hot tents of similar if not better quality and workmanship that come at a better price and with fewer downsides. The biggest drawback are the cheap aluminum pegs. Pegs bend and break incredibly easily. I tripped over one and broke it in half. Also, the pegs are straight, without the "hooks" at the top that would normally anchor a tent to the ground. Instead, the tent simply slips off the pegs in…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Quality

Be careful getting in and out of this tent around the wood stove

I give this tent 4 stars for a few quality features. Would have given 5 stars except for the placement of the door. I tested the tent in the rain, and now a fun weather phenomenon that started out with 45 degrees Fahrenheit, no wind and clear skies and ended in a full snow storm at 55 mph. Winds and temperatures drop to -2 degrees Fahrenheit. Pros: 1 never leaked out in rain, sleet, freezing rain, or melting snow when the stove heated it. 2 Withstands wind conditions gusting in excess of 55…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
