Excellent product! Does what it's supposed to, but getting the adhesive backing off the double sided tape is a nightmare! Good luck with that if you buy this product!

Styrofoam pieces look good. "Double-sided" tape is just blue tape. "Liner" cannot be removed. I spent ten minutes trying it. This is regular duct tape. Now I have to buy double sided tape somewhere else.

Extremely difficult to remove the blue tape from the tape when installing, otherwise it's PERFECT! The tape is very strong and I don't think it will go anywhere. The foam sticks very well to the tape! good buy

I attached it myself using a tape measure and kitchen scissors. It's so smooth and dreamy and it feels like it's always been there. Sticks very well. So make sure you do it right. I would recommend if you have young guests and need to soften the sharp edges of the fireplace.

I think this is a good product but our fireplace has very uneven stone edges. It works for now, we got it because we are expecting a baby and we put it on the fireplace so adults don't bang their ankles on it. I think it will be great until the kid can pick it up. If the edge was straighter I think it would hold up, but I feel like we'll have to buy a gate to protect the baby. Perfect for adults for so long and I think it looks pretty good!

We have a stone chimney, so as expected the surface is uneven. This is obviously a minor problem with any product, but it adhered well and seemed to flex to conform to *most* base curves of the stone. Our little one had a game of pulling the guards off (she could do it quite easily) and we eventually had to give up using them. Before assembly, we cleaned the affected areas with alcohol according to the instructions. He just can't handle rough ground like rocks and a mischievous toddler.
