Description of ๐Ÿ”ด Highly Effective 8 Channel 5V Relay Module with Optocoupler Isolation for High/Low Level Trigger Relay Support โ€“ Red Board

High Quality Module - the relay module uses genuine high-quality relays. The maximum load of the frequently opened interface is: AC 250v/10a, DC 30v/10a. Adopts SMD Optocoupler Isolation - Use two sets of fully isolated power supply system power, to ensure that the relay in the switch will have an impact on the signal circuit and can be freely switched to high level drive mode or low level drive mode. Trigger Current is 5mA. "High", "Low" Level Controllable - With a jumper cap, you can choose a low level control or a high level control, allowing the relay module to adapt to more occasions. It Has a Fault-Tolerant Design - Even if the control line is broken, the relay won't actuation. User-friendly Interface Design - All interfaces can be directly connected through the terminal block, which is very convenient

Great relay for computers and accessories

If you are looking for a relay I can assure you this relay will work great with a user configurable upper or lower trigger. I first ordered the ones I mistakenly ordered with only the low trigger. It stays on and only turns off when the relay trips. I suspect that since it's enabled 99% of the time it wears out quicker than this one, which can be set to start with high or low input. I just ordered more of these and just threw the low blue ones in the trash.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Almost never

Compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic

Good to have this 4 channel relay board as it works with 3.3V and 5V logic works equally well (although the power supply itself must be 5V). Also, you can configure each channel individually to trigger the relay either high or low. With the jumper in the L (low) position, the input line rises to around 4.3V, allowing for an open collector driver, while at 5V only 2mA is required to activate the relay. In the jumper position H (high) the relay pulls in at 1.7V and drops out again when theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Compatible with Raspberry Pi!

Superb relay board. Solid construction, everything works. I particularly like the optocoupler input design, which allows sensitive switching with only 5mA current draw on each active line. I tested this with a Raspberry Pi with 3.3V logic levels and it works fine. Big!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Superior Relay, Best in Computers & Accessories Category

Cons
  • Long Shipping

My relay switch box tested on a breadboard works great.

I'm currently powering the relay with an old Roku 12V DC 1000mA transformer with no problem. I soldered a large LED flashlight onto it, which takes some of the 3 volt load from the transformer after passing through the voltage regulator with a 5 volt output. On the other hand I have a proximity switch that sends a signal to a second relay switch. I plugged it in, so if you bring a metal object close to the proximity switch, it opens the flashlight circuit to turn off the light. Everything works

Pros
  • Fail-safe design - the relay does not trigger even if the control line is interrupted.
Cons
  • Neutral

Dangerously Poor Quality

A piece is missing in the blue box. It was a production IDGAF and not damaged in transit as the packaging was sealed and the missing part was not present. Hit one. The damage didn't expose the AC that easily, so I went ahead. Setup with a Raspberry Pi was straightforward (I isolated/shifted the 3.3V signals to 5V and used an external 5V power supply), and testing with the onboard LEDs showed expected behavior. Where we fly into the danger zone is with an absolutely crappy terminal. Blocks. It's
