Sticks to the sand like a hot knife in butter

We bought these for our Neso case to use on the Florida Gulf Coast beaches. No, nada, useless and empty on the sand. These came out no matter what we did screw, hammer, screw, hammer and fill with sand. Might be good for dirt or if you drop a few rocks on them. I would like to add that it was a windy day and the tent was constantly being ripped off the beach preventing me from napping.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • No performance

Small perfect size for tents in strong winds

These things are amazing! I brought them to camping, a festival in the mountains of Colorado, along with a bunch of other options. The bottom was hard enough to use a hammer with regular tent pegs, but loose enough to be ripped out in high winds. The little orange propeller was perfect - it screwed in easily, handled high winds and was easy to remove. The bright orange also made them easier to spot so you wouldn't trip over them, and there were no sharp edges (like rebar) to cut your feet inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Legacy model

Buy it! - Tent Accessories

I have to say I was skeptical at first. They don't seem to last much and the product listing says "SMALL". I ordered it anyway because of the good reviews and was not disappointed. I used them to secure guy wires for a temporary 43 foot tall aluminum antenna (Field Day for you hams). The orange screws were easy to drive into the ground (once I found spots that didn't have rocks just below the surface), and once in, no amount of manual pulling would move them. While the antenna was being set up,

Ideal for sand and mud!

First of all it's great! I bought these for a trip to the beach as I didn't think the pegs that came with our canopy would hold up well in the sand. These things caught easily in the beach sand and held tight. The canopy would have torn before they got out of the ground. The built in twist handle is also handy for those last few turns to tighten them up. When we got home I decided to just keep using them in the garden instead of the old stakes. I was a bit worried that since they aren't metalโ€ฆ

They are amazing

We are fair skinned people who love the beach. A bad combo with no cover and holding things is always a struggle. We thought we cleared it up and then I grabbed what we were sure was a secure canopy just before it hit other people. I was at a loss and stumbled on these little bets. I almost bought the big ones because I'm at a loss, but another review swore the small ones would work. You are fantastic. We used them to set up a tent on a hike in Dry Tortugas National Park. It was stormy everyโ€ฆ

Pretty cool. The tent stayed in place

God it was great. First cross-country hike a few months ago. Between national parks and commercial campgrounds (you know what I mean), we had to adapt to sandy soil and strong winds. Putting up the tent in stormy rain on the first night proved its worth. The ground was hard as stone, but they screwed in well. Later on in the drive, in 40mph winds, they screwed in like butter and kept the tent stable. Unlike the hiker on the next lot, whose tent sped across the prairie almost faster than theโ€ฆ

  • I don't remember

Works as described, but one small observation.

I used them this weekend at a typical Ocala campground to secure my RV awning. The screw grabbed the bottom and screwed in perfectly, like a butt. I can say that it was a good and reliable grip. My only observation is that the head gave a bit when I squeezed it with my hand. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, this thing definitely looked like it would take some power to do it. but I don't know if I would also call them "indestructible," which is a big statement that almost no brand shouldโ€ฆ
