Range- ORAPXI tester with a range from 0~9999 ppm/ 10-100 ppt, not only suitable for saltwater pool& spas, koi fish pond, salt water fish tank, but also works for sea fish, marine aquaculture, marine fishkeeping aquarium, agricultural, etc. Salinity and Specific Gravity (SG)- This salt meter can perfectly test the salt level and specific gravity of brackish water and marine fish tanks. These are the most common units to show salinity of water. Easy to Use- Just dip electrode into the saltwater pool/ fish tanks or take a cup of sample for measurement, then the salt level results will be display on the LCD backlight screen. Compared with refractometer and salt test strips, the measurement results can be observed more conveniently. Upgrade Ultrasensitive Probe- With high measurement accuracy, precision to 1 ppm, and the salt level measurement results can be obtained accurately within 30 seconds. Automatic Temperature Compensation- This tester can accurately determine the value of the sample in the temperature range of 0 °C-60 °C (32 °F-140 °F); When the ambient temperature is too low, it is recommended to put the tester in the tested liquid wait for a while, and the reading will be more accurate.

Seems accurate enough for pools

This salt tester seems accurate and very easy to use. I checked my saltwater pool and it showed 3000ppm which is about what it should be. I don't have a gold standard for testing this tester, so I wouldn't use it in a situation where accuracy is important. But for testing changes in salinity over time and general measurements, it looks like it could be useful. The build quality is not the best. It's cheap plastic and the o-rings fall off very easily. I wouldn't count on water resistance at all.
