Orbit 34784 PVC-Lock Flex Repair Fitting 3/4-Inch, 3/4 inch size Review

This sounded like an easy fix for a 1 inch pipe leak I was having in a tight space. However, it is almost impossible to bend this fitting more than about 1 inch. Even if you could bend it, I imagine that when straightening it would either slip or rip out other fittings as it straightens itself. You could make a very slight bend with this if you had a 16"-18" space to place it. Otherwise it's pretty much useless.

Got a flexible hose and attached it to 3/4" PVC. Just wanted to test it until... until... until me realized I can't take it off. Well, at least not without a special tool that you have to buy separately. Should "Orbit Supply" cost 50 cents for the removal tool (they forgot to mention you need one, if you want to use it on a different line or location).Must be purchased separately for almost $7.Come on folks, turn on the flex pipe removal tool.You know people are going to need it at some point!

What a smart, simple and easy to use device. My irrigation system broke. This 3/4 inch diameter item bends 90 degrees and is easy. I don't know what others are talking about - maybe 1 inch is very tight. I measured roughly, cut off one end, after wetting the tube with soapy water and removing the burrs, I placed it on the device, measured carefully for the final cut and did the same, and both ends came out smooth and easy. There are no leaks although I sanded the pipe a bit by digging up the dirt but I used very fine sandpaper to remove any protrusions and when…
