I bought these needles after the needle that came with my new sewing machine broke one day in the middle of a project. I don't know if I just used the wrong size needle for my project or something else, but either way I wasn't planning on using the needles that came with the machine anymore. 306W is my favorite heavy duty machine (I have 10 machines). Original 206x13 needles are no longer available for this machine. They are smaller in diameter, 1mm longer and don't have a flat surface so the slot has to be pushed forward but the machine doesn't care. It performs just as well, even with hard work, as the original 206x13s. These needles are fantastic.
