Soft and comfortable! I have a large baby and ordered size 3-6 months for a newborn. They were a bit big for him, but he would grow up in them. Great pants but definitely too big. My daughter is 18 months old and weighs about 25 pounds and I bought an 18-24 month old and she could probably use a 6-12 or 12-18. They are SUPER stretchy at the waist and almost double in size when stretched. I'm hoping to put them in a hot wash and the dryer will shrink them a bit. They are very soft and she loves them, they just won't stay on her.

This is one of the companies that produce baby products according to the baby's age and weight. I have found many companies that have cut corners and made many children's garments smaller than they should be. Not this company! I really hope that doesn't change. I bought 4 pairs of these pants. Our 1 year old daughter, like many babies/toddlers, HATES socks! She rips them off with a determination fueled by a hatred I've never seen. They screamed and pawed and yanked at them until they were beaten in the car seat next to her. In the cold winter months, I prefer to keep their feet warm while walking. I don't understand the reviews that say the legs are too small. I've tried every brand of organic cotton pants and these fit the best. The quality of the fabric is excellent - thick and soft. Our baby is 5 months old, 100th percentile, 27 lbs, has a big head. Many garments do not fit (sizes 6m, 9m and even 12m). Size 12-18m from Maple Clothing fits perfectly and is of excellent quality.
