Description of etee Beeswax Food Wraps: Eco-friendly Reusable Alternative to Plastic Wrap, Ziptop Bags, and Containers - Small, Medium, Large Sizes Included in 1 Pack (3 Wraps)

Beeswax Food Wraps from etee are just as easy to use as plastic wraps, just with less trash. Completely reusable, they'll keep your food fresh and tasty for days and weeks at a time. They are heat sensitive, so to cook using a sous vide, microwave, and similar, it's best if you choose another option. etee beeswax wraps are designed specifically for food storage. The waxed cotton is thin, pliable, and sticky, so they're ideal for wrapping sandwiches, making little snack pouches, and sealing open tops of containers like bowls, casserole dishes, or even plastic and glass storage ware that's lost their lids. All you have to do is unfold the wrap, stretch it around the food or container, and it will seal to itself, keeping food as safe as ziptop baggies. Easy to clean! For good preservation, hand wash in cold water using an ethanol-free detergent. Allow to dry hanging like regular laundry. You can even towel dry and use damp if you need to pack a lunch right away. For long term storage, fold these sturdy wraps and put in a bin until they're needed again. Each pack contains a variety of three wraps, one of each size: teal (7" x 8"), green (10" x 11"), and blue (12" x 14"). You can buy anywhere from 1 up to 12 packs, for a total of 36 individual alternatives to storage bags! Whether you're stashing a roll cake for tomorrow's bake sale, or covering a metal tray of loose fruit to freeze, this bundle of packaging goes the extra mile to keep your food fresh from freezer to fork. etee wraps are BPA free, and made from a host of sustainable ingredients, such as coniferous tree resins, clove and cinnamon essential oils, and jojoba oil. Main materials are organic cotton, organic beeswax, and non-GMO soy wax. Fully compostable. Depending on the kind of food, there may be a transfer of color or dye. This is purely cosmetic and won't harm eaters in any way.

Works well and looks great

This is amazing! Confession: I'm usually not a fan of anything that can't be washed in the dishwasher, and I'm not exactly an eco-warrior. However, I decided to give them a try (every little thing helps) and they are amazingly easy to care for. They work well (stick to themselves), are easy to clean and are bright in color too. :) They came in eco-friendly packaging and delivery was fast. I can almost hear the Lorax agreeing.

not as good as I hoped

I was excited about saving plastic and saw this on my facebook feed. I was so excited to try them. #1) You're a bit wasteful. But since they can be reused, I can say no. 2) The smell is very repulsive. #3) They didn't provide any other instructions other than how to go to the website to find out how to activate it. #4) Tried but not as good as I thought. Damn. I'll keep trying to see if this changes my perspective.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Unusable after a month of use

Very disappointed with this product which I only bought in April. After washing the napkins in cold water with a small amount of seventh-generation soap, microbeads of wax formed on them, which then land on all food when wrapped. I didn't wash them in warm water, used very little soap and now they are really gross and generally unusable. I have another brand of reusable bandages - Bee's Wrap - and that hasn't happened.

Great product for removing plastic from my kitchen!

Love it! I've been looking for ways to reduce my family's exposure to plastic and these are great substitutes for plastic wrap, plastic containers and bags. You must "enable" them in order for them to work properly. Essentially, scrunch them into a ball so the warmth of your hands makes the wax stickier - it's very easy. I also appreciate that they are made in Canada from natural ingredients (does that smell? It's beeswax!) and organic cotton! Highly recommended.

I wanted to love them :(

I wanted to love them. Firstly they are expensive, I've used them for a few weeks and found that they don't usually stick perfectly to bowls. I don't think about what's in the bowls in the fridge because they are opaque so I end up throwing the food away or I have to unwrap and then rewrap to see what the food is in. They are also small and I would rather have 3 XL wraps as they are really not that easy to clean and i used hot water once and they messed up and ruined other dishes and pots in…

  • Large selection

  • Unfashionable

These work great! buy more.

Works great! I like them better for groceries, sandwiches, and anything else that might fall apart if not wrapped tightly. I like them MUCH better for covering bowls: much less fiddling with plastic or aluminum foil to seal them because those wraps stick to themselves a lot better than plastic and they stick better than foil. Easy to clean, easy to use. For some products, they're even better than modern options: cheese, for example, lasts longer and retains its texture better when NOT wrapped…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

pollution solution! 🌏

*Independent evaluation with no discounts or freebies. Results are based on monthly usage. These stunning wraps were purchased from purer "Cover Fury". I mean, it's just because of my love for the planet, but it's 50/50 earthly love and crazy about stolen plastic parts (thief babies). Luckily, even right out of the box, these packs do a good job of sealing bottle caps to hold 1.5 pounds.
