I bought this thinking it would be a new replacement charger for my laptop. When I unzipped it and plugged it into the outlet, the light didn't come on. I assumed light was just brother. I plugged it into my laptop and it wouldn't charge. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the charging unit itself was riddled with scratches. I advertised this product using the DELL logo. However, when it arrived, there was no DELL logo on the device. When I connected it to my laptop which crashed due to a dead adapter, the computer gave me a warning that the device could not be recognized and could not start normally. I tried going through the hints, but it didn't get me to my computer's main page. When unplugging the cable from the laptop, the laptop is completely dead even after a night of charging. What came wasn't the smooth, thin, curved adapter shown in the photo, but a chunky, ugly OTHER adapter with the same configuration. It's unbelievable they tried this lure, switched and charged $30 for an ugly clumsy rectangular adapter. Obviously, it doesn't fit the outlet that comes standard with the XPS 13. It will work, but you can buy an adapter for less than $10 for the same purpose instead of paying triple the price for this ugly piece of junk. Returned as soon as I opened the package.

One of the reviews here says it is a fake made in China. The original charger, as you can see in my photo on the left, was also made in China. Not sure if it was the same review, but someone also mentioned that it didn't light up. The light actually annoys me when I try to use it at night so I was fine with that, but mine worked just fine. My original XPS13 charger died after 4 years of use. To do this, after LESS than 2 MONTHS of use, I have to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cable that connects to the power bank for the charger to work. The only positive thing about this charger is that it is cheaper here than on the Dell website. The charger came and worked for several weeks and then stopped working entirely without warning. Based on online reviews, this is how the charger behaves whether you buy it from Revain or direct from Dell.
