It doesn't distort the sound (although I was paranoid and thought it would at first). I've never had it fall out or slip off and have been using it fairly regularly for a few months.

This product is only ok. Not bad for the price, but not surprising either. It's just a rubber grommet that wraps around the speaker. It's a little big but fits pretty well. I am neutral on this. I don't think you'll be surprised by this, but you won't be disappointed either. I am adding some photos where it is free top and bottom. There's no risk of falling, but it doesn't look pretty either.
