Beautiful but tough.

Body construction is solid and first class. I found the connecting wires and connectors to be flimsy and need to be extra careful with them. However, keep in mind that this is a heavy head frame so you will likely need to use additional weights if your desk can, or buy another heavier counterweight. Cables/connectors/lack of azimuth adjustment and weight keep me from recommending it to most. . But if you need a hover shell then this is a good unit.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Volume

Excellent durable shell

Excellent body. Works great with my Sl1200g. The clamps are quite tight, making it difficult to insert the cartridge. It would also be nice if the colors matched their own 2m range, again making installation easier. Some cable gymnastics is required. Sound and fit are excellent. Reliable connection and first class assembly.

Pros
  • Solid aluminum body
Cons
  • No instructions

There are better cases for less money

Disappointing case. The mounting slots are not long enough to facilitate Berwald alignment. The lift is made out of cheap plastic and is actually bent in half. Incidentally, Azmit is not regulated. Not worth the money. The Zupreme or Jelco HS-25 is way better than disappointing orthophonic junk for a lower price. Unfortunately I sent it back and will now order another Zupreme and be happy.

Pros
  • Mounting distance min 32.5mm max 41.9mm
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Beautiful but tough.

Body construction is solid and of high quality. I found the connecting wires and connectors to be flimsy and need to be extra careful with them. However, keep in mind that this is a heavy headshell so you will likely need to use additional weights if your desk can handle it, or buy another heavier counterweight. Cables/connectors/lack of azimuth and weight adjustment keep me from recommending this to most. . But if you need a hover shell then this is a good unit.

Pros
  • Weight: 15.5 grams
Cons
  • Available in black only
