Ortz® Wii GamePad Charging Adapter U Review

DO NOT BUY. Based on the description and other reviews of the product, I thought this was one of the best chargers from the brand. Unfortunately I was wrong! When charging the Wii U GamePad while in use, the screen flickers horribly. We thought our Wii U GamePad was broken, but found that the screen went back to normal when we unplugged the charger. Luckily our old OEM charger just had a cable problem so I'm replacing that cable with one from this charger so it wasn't a total loss.

Thank you thank you thank you! I ordered this product because it had the highest ratings for this type of product and I wanted to make sure it worked well. For a while we couldn't use our Wii U controller because it was free. I prayed it was a charger and not a gamepad. Thank goodness our original Nintendo charger just broke. This replacement worked like clockwork. For its weight in gold! Now my kids are back with their Wii U games.

When our WiiU charging cable stopped working, we looked for a replacement as soon as possible. Initially I only thought of getting a genuine Nintendo replacement, but quickly found through other posts and reviews that those claiming to be them often weren't. After reading the reviews on this model I bought it with GREAT same day shipping and it works like a charm. No overheating. Durable wiring. We've had it for a few months now and for the price it's perfect.

This charger works great. My kids broke the end of the Nintendo charging connector, they were devastated when their gamepad stopped charging. When I was looking for alternatives to the Nintendo version, I came across this one from Ortiz. Great value. It fits snugly on the controller and charges just like the Nintendo version. I only bought this power cord because part of the power cord connects directly to the stand/gamepad (see photo). It has ribbing and appears to be more durable than the last power cord, which died after being kinked in that area too many times. Imagine my anger when I opened the package and saw the exact same cable as the last one and not the cable I was shown that I bought not only on the box but also in the picture on Revain! I was like, okay, whatever, let's just use it anyway. Connect, play.
