Description of OTC 4490 Magnetic Parts Tray

OTC's Magnetic Parts Tray features a stainless steel tray that measures 9-1/2 inches long x 5-1/2 inches wide x 1-1/4 inches deep. Two heavy-duty magnets are mounted to the bottom of the tray - these strong magnets hold the tray securely in place and feature non-marring contact pads to prevent scratches and scuffs. Securely holds tools and small metal parts so they don’t get lost or misplaced during repair work. Magnetic design allows attachment to metal objects like: tool boxes, frame rails, fenders, air cleaners, and more. Sold individually.

Magnet Fails to Keep Parts in Place

Based on my observations, the magnet used in this tool tray is not strong enough to keep parts in place. This leads to frustration and wasted time when parts inevitably fall out and need to be retrieved. The only positive aspect of this tray is its size, which is adequate for small parts .Overall I would not recommend this product..

Made in Taiwan. No OTC mark anywhere. The quality is considered normal if you only pay $3 like the same one I got on HF. Never again for €15.
