From my husband: The tool works well but I have found that crimping the metal parts that clean the battery posts with pliers makes them tighter and cleans better. It's cheaper here than in the store.

After servicing several batteries, this tool has done the job of removing corrosion and leveling surfaces that can't be easily cleaned with a wire brush. With terminal contacts, the socket appears to hit bottom before the flashlight reaches the battery case.

Battery post cleaning part worked great, no problems. I quickly cleaned the terminals. However, the cable cleaning part is not that impressive. It would be better if this part had metal edges to scrape off rust and corrosion.

You can hardly go wrong with something like this. I used to use bristle cleaners and now prefer this type. There are two different sized scrapers for the battery poles and one for the connector. Seems to make a better connection between plug and terminal.
