Parts delivered rusty

Just received today, the broken tips at the rivet site have rested as you can see in the picture. It seems like OTC is selling junk and I really wish Revain really had quality control.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Weight

I was arguing about giving this one 2 or 3 stars. It was just a good tool for what I wanted to use it for. I have an old (1987) Honda ATV that needed a new chain. Requires 428 chain with 94 links. I ordered a DID 428VX chain (overkill for the application) which came standard with 98 links. I asked the chain seller to break the chain and install a riveted link to make 94 links (I can fit a chain with the link installed on this quad). The chain supplier said he could take the links off my hands…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Upgradable

Everything worked, but a part broke.

Worked fine but one of the parts broke on first use. I thought maybe I did something wrong but I see from other reviews it's not that unusual.

Pros
  • Fluids and maintenance
Cons
  • For the old

Discreet chain press and rivet set with modification. .

Neat chain press and modified rivet kit. The tip of the rivet was too small to extend the sides of the link so I turned it down. I didn't have to modify a kit designed to rivet a standard chain (520 DID).

Pros
  • Tool Kits
Cons
  • Style 90

Great tool, works with all types of chains

Great tool, works with all types of chains. This worked great for installing a new chain on my CBR1000r. With these sports bike chains, the chain lock must be pressed. They don't use the simple clip style connection found on dirt bikes or bicycles. It's perfect for this task.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
