📱 Optimized OtterBox Defender Case for iPhone Xs MAX - Big Sur (Non-Retail Packaging) Review

Not as bulky as feared. Fits perfectly and protects well. It could be my installation error but my tempered glass screen protector was lifted on the bottom of the phone. Otherwise a very solid case for my iphone xs max.

Feels like the Otterboxes I'm used to (the ones I had for iPhone 4S and iPhone 7+) BUT without the screen cover. I'm afraid of scratching it, but I understand that it's supposed to be more durable. The time will show. I have blue, beautiful. I wish there were more color options - I used to have a gorgeous purple case.

It is a little lighter than the photo and I would have preferred the frame to be either blue or black. In my opinion, a slightly tanned frame makes it a bit UNUSUAL. Otherwise works well, unfortunately no screen protector in harsh environments AND the type of glass wouldn't fit - it detached from my screen. So I'm thinking about using LIQUID GLASS

. I've used Otter Box Defender Series cases on all my iPhones and NEVER (hope I jinxed myself) had one broken replacement screen or something, no scratches or anything. I used to be a paramedic and can remember about 15-20 times when the case and phone got knocked over by someone or someone else during a call and the phone itself NEVER had a scratch let alone the case.

Nothing to say if you have ever owned an OtterBox before knowing its quality. If you are looking for a new phone case, give it a try. It's a little bulky, but I've never lost a phone to damage in OtterBox, and when I renew my contracts and sell my phone back for an upgrade, I always get the highest buyback price because it comes out of OtterBox flawlessly. No scratches or scrapes.

The case gave me what I wanted which was a textured surface that makes the phone safer to hold. The original case I had was slick and never felt secure in my hand. The downside of this case is that half covering the touchscreen makes the screen a little less sensitive. You have to press a little harder on the letters when composing a message, especially on the edges. It takes a little getting used to, but overall ok.

Nothing to say about that as anyone familiar with the Defender range of cases knows they are of exceptional quality and durability and this case lives up to the reputation by Defender fair.
