🌀 OttLite 15ED420 Natural Swirling Screw Review

I'm so glad to see a reasonably priced Revain bulb because my eyes are trying to deal with 'normal' light since mine had gone dark and I can't afford the price at the bulb store here in town could.

When sewing I use Ott Lites. They are a great source of natural light and show the true colors of the threads and fabrics I work with. The lamps are expensive and have to be recycled because they contain mercury, but they last a long time - several years in my case.

I have 6 Ottlite bulbs, most of them decades old. I don't sew that much anymore, but I still knit and crochet in my old age, but the Ottlite lights are very helpful for seeing the stitches, especially with dark yarns. And true color helps me a lot to distinguish between navy blue and black garments when preparing for a new day!

I bought 2 of these bulbs specifically because they were advertised as 'low temp' but they are not. I paint miniatures and have found that the heat from my desk lamp dries the paint on my brushes far too quickly (even with a retarder). I bought these bulbs hoping they would produce less heat but they don't get hot. bright and not yellowish, but "low temperature" is not enough for me.

The Ott Lite lamp provides pure white light that is great for reading and close-up work. I find it easier on the eyes than regular incandescent bulbs. The lamp was delivered on time and well packaged. It's expensive (relatively speaking), so watt-hour savings over its lifetime can never be enough to cover its costs. However, the reason for using Ott Lite is pure white light, which reduces eye strain.

I have had this OttLite for about 8 years now and the lamp has burned out. I love the bright white light this bulb gives off and I was looking for a replacement bulb. I don't think this lamp is no longer for sale and I couldn't find a match between the numbers on the old lamp and the current one. This lightbulb works perfectly. It is slightly longer than the previous lamp, but that is normal. Its 15W power provides the best lighting for crafting, sewing and sewing.

They help me get through the dark cold winter with much brighter and clearer light. I like the quality and hue of the light. I wish they were 13w or less, it's 15w, and it's not the best wattage for some ceiling fans or similar devices, but although they're slightly higher wattage, they suit my particular device because the top is open and no heat builds up. which is an important issue to be careful about. Ott lamps are expensive, but worth the money. I move many of my plants indoors from late fall to early spring. These lights are on 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, 5 months a year. All for just one cent a month. They last about 3 years which makes the price better than regular hardware store grow lights which CAN last a year. Ott headlights are strong and reliable. I've always wanted and needed OttLite; I work with polymer clay and seeing colors correctly is important to me. Brightness, contrast and CRI (color rendering index) come very close to natural daylight. This makes the application very pleasant and convenient. I think around 3500-4000K. I don't know exactly, I'll take a look. This lightbulb is a godsend when most energy-saving lightbulbs cause eye pain, blurred vision or migraines.
