I checked the electrical connection to make sure the washing machine is getting power. I wanted to make sure it was the pump and not the electrical system. The pump is located in the washer fluid reservoir and does not leak. The wash hoses fit the pump and do not leak. The electrical connector matches the pump (it is oriented 180 degrees from the original). The pump works when you use the washing machine while driving.

Not only was this pump cheaper than the NAPA pump, it also came with a matching plug. The NAPA product required me to solder the connector. Both previous pumps failed in the same way. I have not checked with a micrometer but the nipples OD are slightly smaller than the OEM pumps and I have encountered leakage issues. The supplied eyelets help with this; However, they do not allow the use of OEM filters that come with OEM gaskets. The pumps work well but I have a feeling I will either be forced to replace them or replace some of the PVC piping to get a better fit and stop the leak. Granted, my X3 is a 2007 model and the lines aren't as sleek as they used to be.
