The washer pump on a 2012 Ford Explorer failed and had to be replaced. Autozone wanted almost $100 so I decided to give it a try. The part arrived on time and after watching a few videos I was ready to install. Ford put the washing machine and pump in the worst possible place imaginable! You have to remove the passenger side wheel arch cover, remove the tire, and then pull the pump out in a place where a toddler's hand can barely fit. I'm sure if you had a ride it would be a lot easier but I did it in my driveway and it sucks. The part was so easy to install that there was no doubt that it was an automaker's design. So far the pump has been running flawlessly with no problems. It was installed within 6 months so I'll have to see how long it lasts. The original lasted 8 years, I hope this one survives too! If you have a line and the washer water pump fails, this is perfect, but it takes some effort to install.
