ESSENTIAL FOR HUNTERS!

Great tool set! Bought for my husband for hunting and he said these are the only knives they use for field work. Every detail has been used. They worked great. Very sharp and the included sharpener kept knives sharp. The suitcase came in handy for keeping them together. He said he's glad he doesn't have to be extra careful when putting the knives back in the plastic sheath that protected the knives. I was skeptical about a kit that would fit my waist but after treating a deer for the first time with this kit I realized it was a great purchase. It's great to have everything handy, including a sharpener. Many people criticize the quality of the blade etc. but it is important to me that you have a sharp, clean and rust-free knife. Considering the price of this kit and the number of times I've used it, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Set after the hunt

Good product, read a lot of reviews where the blades start to rust. There is no rust on this kit yet and hopefully there won't be if I follow the instructions that are included. In general I like how everything is organized, I wouldn't believe the gloves in the kit. I will replace them with a better pair of nitrile or non-slip gloves. I have used this set to process my deer and I have to say I was very impressed with this butcher set. I have used each knife in skinning and game processing and they have performed fantastic, sharp, reliable and more than adequate. I wasn't expecting such quality for this price but I was absolutely glad I bought it. The only downside I noticed is that the saw seems a bit overwhelming. I went hunting for the first time this year. I've watched several videos on YouTube about the field slaughter of white-tailed deer. This set had all the tools shown in these videos at a very reasonable price. If he just included the butt out tool (which wasn't shown in the videos I watched but was later introduced by a friend) it would be absolutely perfect.
