When the solar panel is exposed to light, the LED lamps light up. If not, don't do it. Here it is, functional. The on/off button doesn't do anything, the mode button doesn't do anything, and since the light only comes on in daylight, it's all pointless. I think I got a lemon based on other reviews and for $15 I didn't. It's worth wrapping up and sending back, but it's a bit annoying.
