📏 Accurate Outside Micrometer Measurement Tool: A13060500Ux0130 Explained Review

The plastic sleeve it came in was broken when it got to me through USPS. (I taped the broken side and it's ok now) It's pretty cheap but then again you get what you pay for. I wouldn't use it under any circumstances where accuracy is important, but it's great for measuring brake disc thickness.

Accuracy isn't very good, to within 0.01mm, but that's a godsend for what I do. My Toyota's valves are adjusted by changing the shims from 2.5mm to 3.3mm in 0.5mm increments. There are 17 pads in this range and I can measure them accurately. A previous review said it's only good for measuring things like brake disc thickness. I don't agree 100%. I already had the inch version and it was fine but the messy conversion to metric hence the purchase. Twenty dollars well spent.

I wanted to take a chance but was disappointed. The tool's threads felt like they were drying out with use and after I lubricated the threads it ran smoother, but looking closely I saw that the measuring faces met at an angle and didn't match that this is due to poor workmanship. More of a toy than anything else, this tool can at best be used as a teaching tool to teach you how to read a clock face. Not worth sending it back for the price, just want to say this is by no means an accurate tool.
