Love these sponges. They are ideal for washing dishes by hand or for pre-cleaning in front of the dishwasher. They won't get slimy or smelly like a regular sponge or tea towel. Worth every penny. They don't hold water like a sponge or rag, so don't plan on using them to clean countertops. Although I only use them to quickly wipe up crumbs.

You clean dishes efficiently. And then you just wash off the "sponge” and all the food disappears. It's a lot less disgusting to use the same coarse rag for all dishes after cooking. I still have a brillo pad for those extra heavy jobs that require a little extra energy, but no more moldy sponges or kitchen towels for my dishes!
